    What HR checks first

    1. 2 pages max. USAJOBS won't accept longer resumes.
    2. Start and end month and year for every job.
    3. Hours per week for every job, since part-time work is credited by hours.
    4. Job title, employer, city and state, plus grade or pay if you have it.
    5. Citizenship and any veterans' preference.
    6. Wording that mirrors the Specialized Experience paragraph, where it's true for you.
    7. Every duty in the posting covered somewhere.
    8. Numbers: people served, budgets, team size, time saved.
    9. Volunteer work and internships. They count as experience.
    10. Acronyms spelled out once.
